NBA All-Star Weekend
Rebuilding Together, the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership, is pleased to join their affiliate, Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas and the NBA to host “NBA Cares All-Star Day of Service,” making a lasting impact in North Texas communities on Friday, February 12.
The NBA Cares All-Star Community Caravan is a community service initiative hosting several hands-on community projects taking place from Wednesday, February 10 through Sunday, February 14. This effort is highlighted by the partnership of Rebuilding Together and the NBA and their signature event: NBA Cares All-Star Day of Service, which will include the rehabilitation of five homes.
Rebuilding Together is thrilled to once again be partnering with the NBA to reach communities and homeowners in need. Past NBA Cares All-Star Day of Service events have occurred in neighborhoods nationwide and have included some star volunteers including: Chris Bosh, Steve Nash, Deron Williams, Jason Kidd, Dirk Nowitzki, and LeBron James.
NBA Cares is the league’s global social responsibility initiative that builds on the NBA’s long tradition of addressing important social issues worldwide. Through this umbrella program, the NBA, its teams, and players have donated more than $115 million to charity, provided more than one million hours of hands-on service to the community, and created more than 450 places where kids and families can live, learn, or play.
