While proud of our statistical accomplishments (see table), the Rebuild 1000 Initiative measures success in terms of community impact. Each of our completed projects represents the return home of a family displaced by the storms and a community strengthened by proud residents and increased property values. Each volunteer utilized is not just a week's worth of no-cost labor, but an advocate in a national grassroots effort to keep the country engaged in the recovery of the Gulf Coast. Numbers are important, such as the outstanding market value return Rebuild 1000 has produced on an initial investment of $1.5 million, however, the true outcomes of our initiative live with the homeowners we serve.
