Rebuilding Together's Mission - Rebuilding Together fills a critical need in our communities. The rising cost of living and falling social service budgets have left some of our most vulnerable neighbors without the most basic of necessities, a warm, safe, and dry home. Every day, Rebuilding Together focuses on the issues of homeownership and creates real, sustainable solutions for the elderly, the disabled, families with children. U.S. Veterans - Millions of U.S. veterans are in desperate need of repairs and adaptations to their homes. Rebuilding Together’s Veterans Housing was created to meet the growing needs of veterans from past and present wars by filling the gaps in modifications and repair services, such as wheelchair ramps, widening doorways and basic home repair. Gulf Coast Recovery – In the five years since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, much work has been done to bring New Orleans and the surrounding area back as a thriving and functioning community. Join us in helping New Orleans celebrate the corner that has been turned, those who persevered from first response through ongoing rebuilding efforts, and recognize the hard work of all those who traveled to the city to lend a hand. Flooding in Tennessee - Due to the unprecedented flooding in Tennessee recently, low-income homeowners have been disproportionately impacted by the devastation. Not only are their homes and personal belongings destroyed, but often they lack the resources and insurance to rebuild once the crisis has passed. Rebuilding Together, the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership, will be there once the flood waters have receded. In the coming days and months, local Tennessee based Rebuilding Together affiliates will be assisted by the national office to carry out critical relief efforts. Make a donation now.
Haitian Earthquake - Rebuilding Together is currently accepting donations in support of relief efforts in Haiti. It is estimated that up to 3 million people may have been directly affected by the earthquake's damage, and many more around the world have felt its impact through the loss of family members and loved ones.
