Sears Holdings Corporation and Rebuilding Together established a partnership to create Heroes at Homesm, a program designed to assist military personnel, and their families, by making critical repairs and modifications to their homes. Heroes at Home was launched on Memorial Day weekend, 2007, at Sears and Kmart stores around the country. The in-store fund-raising campaign raised nearly $4 million to support Rebuilding Together’s work to assist military families facing hardship. With this funding, Rebuilding Together is dramatically modifying homes, rebuilding interiors and exteriors of homes, and ensuring full accessibility for military personnel, families and veterans – our Heroes at Home. The program is part of our national Veterans Housing Initiative.
