Roundtable Endorses The Rebuilding Together "Fifty for Five" Initiative

Washington, D.C.—August 20, 2010—The Financial Services Roundtable is proud to endorse the Rebuilding Together “Fifty for Five” initiative. “Fifty for Five” will take place August 24 - 29, and consists of rebuilding fifty homes in Gentilly, Louisiana, to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. “Fifty for Five” is Rebuilding Together’s biggest housing rehabilitation project in its 21 year history as a national organization.
Rebuilding Together’s pledge to “Rebuild 1,000” homes throughout the Gulf Coast is well on its way to completion; a total of 718 homes have been rehabilitated to date. To mark the success of their work, “Fifty for Five” will continue the momentum of recovery started five years ago with the help of one thousand volunteers, major corporate partners, community partners, vendors, and celebrities.
