Rebuilding Together, Bank of America and the Angels Baseball Foundation “hit a home run” on July 10, 2010, leading a community-wide revitalization project during the MLB All-Star Game in Anaheim, CA. With the support of Rebuilding Together Orange County, Bank of America employees and local volunteers, Mary’s Kitchen, a local soup kitchen that provides essential services to people in-need, received extensive renovations.

These renovations secured the longevity and capacity of this important community center, which has been serving people in-need for 17 years; giving them food, clothing and other social services to provide comfort and assistance. Many upgrades and improvements were made, including a new kitchen, which will increase Mary’s Kitchen’s client feeding capacity from 180 to 500 persons a day. This event served a critical community landmark and also helped to sustain the health and growth of the surrounding communities.

In attendance at this event were the President of MLB, the Chairman of The Anaheim Angels, representatives from the Arizona Diamondbacks, local political leadership, and representatives from the Rebuilding Together National Board.
